Breast Augmentation and Breast Lift Surgery with Cosmetic Surgery Cyprus

We perform breast augmentation ( often known as a boob job ) with silicon implants or via fat transfer and either breast lift alone or with the addition of implants in order to achieve the aesthetic result that the patient is looking for.

Breast Augmentation ( Boob Job )

Commonly known as a boob job, or a breast implant procedure is a very popular procedure especially amongst young slim girls with a very slight figure who are looking for a more womanly shape. Often at Cosmetic Surgery Cyprus we have young mums too who after one or two babies that they have breastfed, are looking to regain their former pre-baby shape and size in order to feel confident about their bodies again.

Dr Bugra uses the market leading Mentor brand of silicon implant and favours the dual plane technique of breast augmentation whereby the implants are not placed completely under the muscle, which is the traditional breast implant technique, but are half under the muscle and half over, with the upper half under the muscle and the lower half above the muscle but under the breast glands. This technique allows the patient to breast feed after the breast augmentation procedure, should they choose to do so, and also maintains the sensation in the nipples. At Cosmetic Surgery Cyprus we use either round or anatomical shaped implants depending on the particular requirements of the patient.

Dr Bugra makes very small incisions, only 1 to 1.5 cm long in the crease under the breast, so after the breast augmentation procedure there are no visible signs of scarring. It is one of the least invasive techniques and means that you are mobile from day one with minimal, if any pain. If travelling from UK or elsewhere to Cyprus for your boob job we do recommend that you stay for 6 to 7 days in order that Dr Bugra can provide the necessary post operative care however, girls that live locally can often go back to work a few days later, provided that their jobs does not entail heavy lifting which you must avoid for the first 3 to 4 weeks after any cosmetic breast procedure. You must keep your wounds dry, albeit the wounds are very small, for one week until Dr Bugra removes the elastic bandaging which is placed over your breasts for one week. At that stage Dr Bugra transfers you in to your sports bra which you are advised to wear for 2 ½ to 3 months in order to support your ‘new breasts’ in the early stages so that the best possible results are achieved.

Breast Lift Procedure ( Mastoplexy )

A breast lift procedure, often known as breast mastopexy, is the breast procedure whereby Dr Bugra will raise the breasts by removing any excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue. This method is used to reshape the breast and support the new breast contour.

It is popular with Cosmetic Surgery Cyprus patients where implants alone cannot restore the youthful shape owing to the ravishes of time and of course gravity! Changes to skin elasticity are caused by many factors including pregnancy, breast feeding, weight fluctuations, ageing and indeed can be hereditary.

If the patient wishes to maintain their current size a breast lift procedure alone is often enough to satisfy them, however if the patient would like a little extra fullness in the upper breast Dr Bugra will often team the breast lift with the addition of a small round breast implant to give the patient the aesthetic result that they desire from their breast lift procedure.

Dr Bugra favours the traditional method of breast lift, as that provides the most aesthetically pleasing results; patients at Cosmetic Surgery Cyprus are always advised that the procedure will result in a lollipop shaped scar running around the circumference of the areola, and down the centre of each breast and in to the breast crease. The scars of course fade in time and Dr Bugra recommends the use of silicon strips to aid the fading. Many patients have confirmed after the procedure that the scar, which does fade in time, is a small price to pay for their incredible ‘new breasts’. Dr Bugra of course always seeks to provide the procedure that his patients desire, therefore should a patient insist on the circumareolar breast lift Dr Bugra will always oblige.

With a circumareolar lift, sometimes referred to as a donut mastopexy or Benelli mastopexy a small circle of flesh is removed from around the areaolas, the skin is then tightened around the areaolas very much like a purse string, resulting in lifted breasts and re-positioned areolas.

Patients who travel from outside Cyprus are recommended by Cosmetic Surgery Cyprus to stay for a minimum of 7 days so that Dr Bugra can provide the necessary post operative after care. Again wounds are to be kept dry for a week and then a sports bra worn for 2 ½ to 3 months following the breast lift procedure.
