A nose job ( Rhinoplasty ) is a plastic surgery procedure aimed at correcting and reconstructing the shape of the nose, enhancing its aesthetic appearance as well as restoring the nasal functions. It can also be performed to correct a deviated septum. The results of a nose job are extremely rewarding and great for your self esteem. A Rhinoplasty procedure can reshape the tip, bridge, or whole profile of your nose, and may even help with breathing if you are having difficulties. There are three main types of Rhinoplasty:
- Standard Rhinoplasty which is a full nose correction of the bridge, nose tip and nostrils.
- Septo-rhinoplasty which is a full nose correction, including the alteration of the nasal septum (the cartilage partition in the nose)
- Rhino-tip which is a correction of the tip and nostrils.
- Ultrasonic Rhinoplasty
Depending on your expectations and requirements, our specialist nose surgeon will recommend the most suitable procedure for the results you wish to achieve.
Rhinoplasty and Septo-rhinoplasty surgeries are performed under general anaesthetic and can take up to 2 hours. You will need an overnight stay in the hospital for monitoring. The rhino-tip correction procedure may be suitable for local anaesthetic with sedation and you may be able to return to your hotel on the same day as your treatment. For a standard Rhinoplasty, we will make incisions inside your nose to be able to make alterations to the bone structure. With a rhino-tip procedure we will operate on the cartilage inside your nose, either removing or reshaping parts of it to give the desired shape.
Whichever surgery you are having, you will be left with no visible scarring. After being discharged, you will need to wear a protective splint across your nose for 7-10 days.
Ultrasonic Rhinoplasty
We can now offer ultrasonic rhinoplasty, which is performed with the assistance of ultrasonic waves, making the reshaping of the nasal bone more precise and accurate.
Recuperation
We advise that you take at least a week off work, depending on the nature of your occupation and what better way to recuperate than at a luxury hotel in either sunny Cyprus or cosmopolitan Istanbul in Turkey.
Our surgeon will advise you on when to gradually introduce your daily/weekly activities.
